# Why do I have to ensure permissions are allowed?

For Zixty Miles to operate, location services and activity tracking are needed so that the app can automatically record the driving data and offer the carbon offsets and calculate your trip scores. 
The app also needs permissions to take photos and send you notifications improving the app even further.
